Inclusion Support Assistant

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Inclusion Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in 1:1 care for a child with additional needs.

Kiddie Capers, Merlin House provides stimulating and enabling environments for children aged 0-5 years old. Conveniently located near Haywards Heath train station, Kiddie Capers offers ease of access for commuting parents. With opening hours from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, we provide flexibility to accommodate the needs of busy families.

Hours & Salary
  • 28.5 hours, Monday, Wednesday & Friday 07:30am-17:30pm Term Time Only
  • One Year temporary contract
  • £8.00-£12.71 per hour (depending on age)

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality care and activities that support individual and group development
  • Plan and deliver creative indoor and outdoor play experiences
  • Act as key person, monitoring and recording children’s progress
  • Follow EYFS guidance and nursery policies
  • Work closely with parents/carers
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks, promoting good nutrition and social eating
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas before and after meals
  • Support children with personal care and toileting needs

Requirements

  • Previous experience would be desirable in an 1:1 support role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An interest or passion for childcare/early years development
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
