Incoming Quality Inspector (Manufacturing, East Region)

Summary
Inspects incoming manufacturing materials for defects using precision tools and SAP QM, ensuring supplier quality and cleanroom compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming material inspection and verify line fallout in a timely manner.
- Perform material sampling according to documented procedures and sampling plans.
- Inspect materials using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges).
- Perform visual inspections to identify defects in color, shape, and texture.
- Make quality decisions and coordinate corrective actions with Supplier Quality Engineers and Buyers.
- Record inspection results and quality data in SAP QM, including material disposition.
- Monitor incoming material quality, maintain SPC charts, and prepare quality statistics.
- Maintain IQC inspection tools, calibration status, and label inventory.
- Monitor cleanroom critical supplies, laundry data, and supplier performance.
- Support documentation, data extraction, continuous improvement, and safety compliance.
Requirements:
- Read and interpret procedures, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of chemical safety and hazardous material handling practices.
- Perform material inspections while maintaining cleanliness and material integrity.
- Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard PC applications.
- Familiar with SPC charts, basic statistics, and data analysis.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., dial gauges, vernier calipers).
- Experience in quality data recording and documentation.
- Prior experience in quality inspection or incoming quality control (IQC) is an advantage.
