Job Summary

Lead and manage all restaurant operations to achieve financial and service excellence. Drive strategic planning, cost control, team development, and customer satisfaction in a dynamic dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all restaurant operations and make final decisions on guest service matters to ensure exceptional customer experiences
• Forecast operational requirements and prepare annual budgets to meet financial objectives
• Analyze budget variances and initiate corrective actions to maintain profitability
• Control food costs by reviewing portion sizes, preparation quantities, and minimizing waste while ensuring high-quality food preparation
• Establish and enforce sanitation standards and procedures to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment compliant with legal regulations
• Design and place advertisements, engage food editors and local media, and promote the restaurant through community events to increase visibility
• Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights, preparing action plans, and implementing standards for production, productivity, quality, and customer service
• Collaborate with chefs to plan menus, estimate food costs and profits, and adjust offerings accordingly
• Maintain restaurant ambiance by managing lighting, background music, and quality and placement of glassware, dinnerware, utensils, food presentation, and service
• Estimate food inventory needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule timely delivery of fresh food and supplies
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to food quality and service promptly and effectively
• Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, setting performance expectations, and conducting performance reviews
• Manage and motivate a team of business development executives to achieve sales and growth targets
• Work effectively under pressure to meet designated KPIs and business goals

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in the Indian or Bangladeshi food and beverage industry is advantageous
• Knowledge of Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine is advantageous
• Proven track record in sales and business development management
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Intermediate proficiency in IT applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Availability to work on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and public holidays
