Discussion

Description

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Buyer to manage end-to-end operational procurement of indirect materials, MRO, factory services and corporate services.

The Indirect Buyer is responsible for daily purchasing execution, order management, contract fulfillment, cost control, supplier performance monitoring and internal stakeholder support. This role helps ensure stable operational supply, compliant purchasing processes and continuous cost optimization across factory and company overhead spend.

The role works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure purchasing requirements are fulfilled accurately, efficiently and in line with company procurement policies and compliance standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage day-to-day indirect purchasing activities across categories including MRO spare parts, facility maintenance, tooling, office supplies, logistics, IT consumables, industrial services and professional third-party services.
  • Create, release and track purchase orders within SAP/ERP systems, ensuring accurate order execution and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor purchase order status and supplier lead times, following up on deliveries and resolving delays, shortages and order discrepancies.
  • Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, acting as the commercial point of contact for assigned indirect suppliers and communicating requirements, forecasts, delivery schedules, quality feedback and invoice-related issues.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including service levels, responsiveness and after-sales support.
  • Support cost control and savings initiatives by executing approved framework agreements, ensuring contract price compliance and supporting price comparisons, quotation collection and smaller sourcing projects.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities, consolidate sporadic purchases and help reduce maverick buying and off-contract spend while supporting monthly savings and cost avoidance reporting.
  • Ensure procurement compliance by following company procurement policies, SOX controls and financial compliance requirements, and verifying contract terms, payment terms and service scope before order placement.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including Production, Facilities, Administration, IT, HR and Engineering, to clarify requirements, recommend qualified suppliers and provide procurement solutions and market information.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data and documentation, including purchasing records, price history, supplier files and procurement documents, while supporting monthly procurement closing, audits and supplier reconciliation.
  • Provide regular analysis of indirect spend, purchasing frequency and supplier performance to support procurement decision-making.

How Brady will support your success

  • Comprehensive onboarding and training programs.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to indirect procurement activities across multiple categories and business functions.
  • Opportunities to build expertise in supplier management, procurement processes and cost optimization.
  • Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.

What you'll need to be successful

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Indirect Procurement or MRO Buying, preferably within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system for procurement activities.
  • Basic knowledge of RFQ processes, contract implementation and indirect procurement categories.
  • Good communication, cross-functional coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance, with the ability to manage a high volume of daily purchase orders accurately.
  • Basic English reading and writing skills for global documentation and email communication.

Preferred Qualifications

The original JD you provided doesn't contain a separate Preferred Qualifications section, so I would not invent additional requirements just to match the Brady template.

If the template requires this heading, you could move some of the less essential capabilities there, for example:

  • Previous experience within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting MRO and other indirect purchasing categories.
  • Strong cost awareness and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Good data organization and analytical skills.
  • Strong internal customer and supplier relationship management skills.

Benefits

  • Meal tickets for each working day worked.
  • 25 days of annual holiday entitlement.
  • Medical coverage.
  • Flexible benefits of 250 RON/month, according to the company's internal regulations.

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
