Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Manager

Job Overview

Manages a sourcing team responsible for executing buying strategies, supplier negotiations, and supplier performance management. Translates sourcing objectives into operational plans and ensures monthly performance targets are achieved.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and lead the indirect sourcing team in Hai Phong plant
• Facilitate footprint construction in early months.
• Support business ramp up with efficient cost and high speed
• Build up local supplier base, drive supplier base consolidation.
• Drive procurement efficiency improvement (PO automation)
• Indirect procurement representative and process owner in Hai Phong plant
• Collaborate with regional commodity managers to deploy sourcing strategy and deliver large projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or above, Engineering background is preferred
• 8+ years of experience in indirect procurement, experience in manufacturing company is a must
• 3+ years of experience of leading a team
• Commodity Experience in at least 2 commodities among MRO, facility Services, HR Services, spare parts and fixtures, automation, IT services, corporate services.
• Ability to work in fast speed, experience in electronics industry is preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
• Ability to make decision and deliver result in ambiguity
• Business orientated thinking
• Work independently as local function leader
• Figure out solutions with cross functional team in ambiguity
• Knowledge of SAP and SRM is preferred
• Fluent English at negotiation level, Chinese Mandarin speaker is a plus

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
