Indirect Tax Accountant
- Prepare and file VAT/GST returns and related reports for assigned jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and on‑time submission
- Maintain return workpapers, supporting documentation, and evidence of filing in line with internal controls
- Perform reconciliations between ERP systems, tax engine outputs, and VAT/GST returns
- Review transactional and transitional data to identify tax coding issues and discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve routine variances, escalating more complex matters as appropriate
- Support tax audits and tax authority requests by gathering data and preparing required documentation
- Maintain compliance calendars, trackers, and process documentation
- Collaborate with AP, AR, Finance teams, and external advisors to resolve tax‑related matters
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support standardization initiatives within the compliance workflow

You take initiative, apply sound judgment when solving problems, and consistently strive to deliver accurate, well‑documented outcomes.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Foundational knowledge of VAT/GST and indirect tax compliance
- Experience working with financial data, reconciliations, and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
- Prior experience in indirect tax compliance or a shared services / multinational environment
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP and/or tax engines such as Vertex
- Experience supporting tax audits or responding to tax authority inquiries
- Interest in process improvement, automation, or standardization initiatives
