Indirect Tax Accounting Analyst
Purpose Statement:
Reporting to Indirect Tax Accounting Manager, Indirect Tax Accounting Analyst will be mainly responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filling tax returns and additional tax reports for routine.
Major Responsibilities:
- Preparation of tax returns for countries in scope and submissions to Tax Authorities.
- Provide support for tax audits and answer to inquiries from various taxing jurisdictions.
- Being in contact with third-party service providers and Tax Centre of Excellence.
- Follow-up on any missing information and perform defined checks and reconciliations as per due dates once reports are available.
- Update and track corrections to be performed and resolve identified issues during the compliance process.
- Review and sign off all tax related balance sheet accounts reconciliations, as prepared by third party provider (Business Process Outsourcing).
- Being supportive for VAT Team Members for VAT projects and initiatives.
Other:
- Co-ordinate with Tax Centre of Excellence any other tax accounting related activities.
- Being responsible for indirect tax process documentation updates for all countries in scope.
- Constantly looking for improvement opportunities in the area of direct responsibility, but not limited to and drive implementation (compliance, quality and process efficiency).
A driven, energetic person with experience in indirect tax compliance/ reporting and accounting, able to act as focal point between different stakeholders and meet fixed deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree with an accounting and/or tax orientation.
- Hands-on accounting experience (2+ years) in an international environment (pharma sector is a plus).
- Professional proficiency of English is a requirement.
- Knowledge of the European VAT framework.
- Strong computer skills, particular experience with Excel and SAP.
- Analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with stakeholders.
- Individuals must be self-motivated with great follow-up skills and be able to work independently.
- Very good stakeholder management skills are required.
- Ownership and strong drive in an independent tasks execution.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and drive for excellence.
