Indirect Tax Senior Manager / Director | Dublin City (Hybrid)

A leading international advisory firm is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Senior Manager / Director to join its expanding Dublin City team in a hybrid working environment.

This is a senior leadership opportunity within a growing tax function at a pivotal stage of development. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the direction of the indirect tax offering while advising a varied portfolio of Irish and international clients across multiple sectors.

The Role

Working closely with senior leadership, you will act as a strategic advisor on complex VAT and indirect tax matters, while also helping to scale and strengthen the broader tax practice. The position combines technical excellence, commercial leadership, and team development.

Core Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary advisor on complex VAT and indirect tax advisory projects

• Leading client engagements from planning stage through to delivery and follow-up

• Driving strategic growth initiatives within the indirect tax function

• Overseeing risk management, billing, budgeting and engagement profitability

• Building and strengthening long-term client relationships at senior stakeholder level

• Identifying market opportunities and contributing to proposals and tenders

• Championing knowledge-sharing and technical excellence across the tax team

Profile & Experience

• Significant experience advising on Irish and EU VAT matters within a professional services environment

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to position tax solutions in a business-focused manner

• Experience leading teams, delegating effectively and developing high-performing professionals

• Confident engaging with CFOs, finance directors and business owners

• Demonstrated ability to win and retain work through relationship development

• Strategic mindset with the ambition to contribute at senior leadership level
