Individual Therapist - Child & Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Position Type: Full-Time Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Individual Therapist to join our Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This role provides direct therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5-21 who are experiencing significant emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
The Individual Therapist is responsible for delivering one-on-one therapy, developing individualized treatment plans, engaging families in the treatment process, and collaborating closely with group therapists, psychiatric providers, and leadership team members to support each client's progress and recovery. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping young people build skills, improve functioning, and achieve meaningful clinical outcomes within a structured treatment environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults enrolled in the Partial Hospitalization Program.
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and contribute to admission and treatment planning processes.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and the treatment team.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, caregivers, and other supports to promote treatment engagement and continuity of care.
- Collaborate closely with Group Therapists to ensure treatment interventions are coordinated and aligned with client goals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings with psychiatric providers, clinical leadership, nursing staff, and other team members.
- Monitor client progress and address barriers to treatment success.
- Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and clinical support as needed.
- Coordinate care with schools, outpatient providers, child welfare agencies, and other community resources when appropriate.
- Assist with discharge planning and aftercare recommendations to support ongoing treatment and recovery.
- Complete all required clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
