Induction Motors-Design Engineer (Coimbatore) Company: Client of Job Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 5 - 10 years Salary: 3,60,000 - 5,40,000 per year Client: Pumps & Motors Mfrs Location: Coimbatore Job Title: Induction Motors-Design Engineer Software: Solidworks Exp: 5 to 10 yrs Qualification: BE/Dip -Mechanical Engineering Skill Set Job Role & Responsibilities Motor Design & Optimization: Design single-phase and three-phase AC induction motors, optimize electromagnetic circuits, and balance torque density, efficiency, and thermal performance. Calculations & Documentation: Perform electrical, thermal, and mechanical design calculations, generate Bill of Materials (BOMs), and maintain technical documentation. Component & Material Selection: Specify stator and rotor assemblies, laminations, copper/aluminum windings, insulation systems, shafts, bearings, and housing materials. Testing & Validation: Support prototype build, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), performance validation, and root-cause analysis for product failures. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with manufacturing, quality (DFMEA, APQP), vendor development, and sales/marketing teams to transition designs from concept to mass production.
