Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Infrastructure Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Infrastructure Analyst, performs advanced technical work on ICS infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network components. Independently troubleshoots complex issues, implements security measures, and coordinates system upgrades to maintain standardized, secure environments. Ensures compliance with established standards and supports reliability across multiple facilities.

Please Note: This position requires the employee to work on-site at our Dallas, TX office. Relocation assistance is not available. Candidates must reside within commuting distance or be willing to relocate at their own expense.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Independently troubleshoot and resolve ICS infrastructure issues, including servers, workstations, and network components.

2. Implement security measures such as access controls, patch management, and backup strategies for ICS environments.

3. Coordinate system upgrades and migrations to ensure minimal downtime and compliance with standards.

4. Maintain standardized configurations for ICS infrastructure across multiple facilities.

5. Provide technical guidance to Analyst I and assist in vendor coordination for complex tasks.

6. Essential personnel are required to report to work when scheduled during departmental and/or emergency situations, including, but not limited to, extended periods of inclement weather when travel may be difficult. This position is essential because, in the absence of sufficient personnel, the plant cannot operate safely.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

An associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure support or administration, including servers, workstations, and networking components. Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting. Experience implementing security measures such as patch management, access controls, and backup strategies.

Preferred:

Experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments or Operational Technology (OT) networks. Familiarity with ICS cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443). Experience coordinating system upgrades and migrations in multi-site environments.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Required Certifications: Valid driver’s license; CompTIA Security + or equivalent required within 6 months of hire. CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+ Cisco CCNA or equivalent

Preferred Certifications: GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)

KNOWLEDGE

• In-depth understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols

• Knowledge of ICS security principles and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443)

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)

• Awareness of patch management, access controls, and backup strategies

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex infrastructure issues

• Ability to implement and maintain secure configurations across multiple facilities

• Excellent documentation and communication skills

GUIDANCE RECEIVED

Follows periodic direct instructions and guidelines, uses policies and procedures that require some interpretation. Problems that cannot be addressed through an existing guideline, policy, or procedure are referred to a supervisor or a more senior position. Incumbent must exercise judgment about whether to escalate issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.

• May require bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.

• Ability to use standard tools and equipment safely.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Office and Industrial environments, which may include exposure to noise and temperature variations.

• Occasional travel to field sites within the State of Texas (typically less than 10%).

• Participation in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for ICS systems.
