Industrial Data & Software Engineer

As Industrial Data & Software Engineer at Thales in Crawley, you will develop data-driven solutions to improve manufacturing performance and shape Industry 4.0 initiatives. You will build data pipelines, design databases, and develop dashboards to enable analytics-driven decision making. You’ll apply Python and JavaScript to identify inefficiencies and support process improvements, IoT, and predictive maintenance on the factory floor. You work with engineering and operations from requirements to deployment, contributing to a global technology leadership that makess manufacturing smarter.

• Build and automate data pipelines and ETL workflows using Node-RED
• Design and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases for industrial data
• Develop dashboards and analytics to improve manufacturing performance
• Use Python, JavaScript and statistical analysis to identify inefficiencies and support process improvement
• Support IoT, machine monitoring, smart tooling and predictive maintenance solutions
• Work with engineering and operational teams to take solutions from requirements through to deployment

• Strong Python and JavaScript programming skills
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL solutions
• SQL and NoSQL database experience
• Statistical analysis experience within a manufacturing environment
• Linux/Unix experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• A relevant technical degree, such as Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering
