Description

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, is seeking to hire an experienced Industrial Electrician to join the team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing, modification, and testing of custom HVAC equipment. This role requires strong industrial electrical skills, hands-on experience with conduit/seal-tight, control wiring, motor circuits, and safe work practices. HazLoc experience is a major plus - especially related to NEC 500/505 concepts and NFPA 496 purge strategies.

Come work for an industry leader that has been recognized both locally and nationally as a Top Place to Work!

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installation, modification, and troubleshooting on HVAC equipment (packaged units, wall-mounts, chillers, MAUs, skids).
  • Build and wire control panels and field wiring harnesses per drawings and work instructions.
  • Install and terminate conduit and fittings (rigid, EMT where applicable, seal-tight, cord grips, glands).
  • Terminate and troubleshoot motor circuits, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, heaters, alarms, and interlocks.
  • Support HazLoc-related executions (NFPA 496 Type X/Y/Z concepts): pressure switches, alarms, permissives, shutdown logic, labeled wiring practices, circuit segregation.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
  • Perform point-to-point checks, continuity testing, megger testing (as required), and functional testing during FAT/dry runs.
  • Diagnose issues and implement corrective actions; provide feedback to engineering/production.
  • Maintain clean wiring workmanship: labeling, routing, strain relief, enclosure management.
  • Follow shop safety rules including LOTO, PPE requirements, and safe tool use.
