Summary
A data/analytics engineering role focused on building Power BI dashboards, data models, and workforce-management solutions (forecasting, scheduling, time & attendance, performance analytics) using SQL, ETL/ELT, and cloud-based analytics, while supporting data and AI governance for what appears to be a customs/logistics operation.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain data solutions supporting operational reporting and workforce management.
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, data models, and analytics solutions.
- Support data ingestion, integration, and data quality initiatives across multiple systems.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Contribute to AI governance, data governance, and compliance initiatives.
- Create operational performance metrics for productivity, service, compliance, workforce management, and customer experience.
- Design and support Workforce Management capabilities including Forecasting & Scheduling, Time & Attendance Tracking, Performance Management & Analytics, Compliance Monitoring, and Employee Self-Service reporting.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Support testing, implementation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with customs experts, operations teams, product owners, and technology partners to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Present technical recommendations and analytical findings to business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, process engineering, or business intelligence development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience developing reporting and analytics solutions.
- Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Preferred: Experience with Power BI including data modelling, DAX, and dashboard development.
- Preferred: Experience with data ingestion, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architectures.
- Preferred: Understanding of data governance, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
- Preferred: Exposure to AI, machine learning, Generative AI, or AI governance concepts.
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Azure data services or cloud-based analytics environments.
- Preferred: Experience within logistics, transportation, customs clearance, or international trade.
- Preferred: Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or related certifications.
