Industrial Engineer
Summary
Industrial engineer optimizing semiconductor manufacturing layouts, workflows, and equipment utilization using Lean/Six Sigma to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing layouts, production flow, and material handling systems to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and maximize space utilization.
- Conduct capacity analysis, equipment utilization studies, and workflow assessments to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Perform time and motion studies to improve manpower efficiency, and reduce process waste.
- Develop cost analysis models and support cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, productivity improvement, and resource planning.
- Support factory layout planning, equipment installation, relocation projects, and production expansion activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Quality, Equipment to support process changes and new product introduction (NPI).
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance manufacturing performance.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators(KPIs) such as throughput, cycle time, utilization, productivity, and manufacturing cost.
- Support capital investment projects through capacity evaluation, ROI analysis, and equipment justification.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and semiconductor quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant industrial engineering experience are welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, fab operations, assembly processes, or high-volume manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process improvement, and cost optimization methodologies.
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, and Power BI.
- Experience with CAD software for factory layout planning and optimization is preferred.
- Familiarity with MES, ERP systems, factory automation, and manufacturing data systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
