Industrial Engineering Manager
Major Job Functions
- Manage a staff of technicians to ensure daily productivity goals are achieved including planning effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and material handling systems.
- Responsible for capital execution, including strategic planning, budgeting, and overall project execution.
- Control of all engineering, facility, and maintenance expenses.
- Support the efficient operation of the plant and ensure equipment reliability meets production needs.
- Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by optimizing plant designs, layouts, equipment, to produce quality products.
- Develop and implement an Asset Reliability Program to include Best in Class Preventive Maintenance schedules and executes ongoing preventive maintenance programs for all plant operations.
- Keep facility management apprised of escalating abnormal or critical situations and coordinates resolutions/repairs with outside professional maintenance.
- Conduct periodic inspection of utilities like Boilers, Cooling tower, Chillers, etc.,
- Establish departmental goals and maintain focus on reliability and process improvement.
- Collaborate with plant staff and key stakeholders to improve the overall efficiency of the plant.
- Manage the installation and care of plant physical assets (building and equipment) so that the lifetime value of the Company's investment in these assets is optimized.
- Manages the technical and professional development of all assigned staff.
- Supervise at least 15 employees including maintenance supervisors and technicians.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
- At least 10 years' experience leading a maintenance organization utilizing “Best Practice” lean manufacturing tools and programs.
- 5 years of experience with work order management using CMMS software.
- 5 years of experience with Camera (Vision) Inspection systems and SCADA systems
- 5 years of experience troubleshooting plant manufacturing equipment and systems controlled by PLCs in a high-volume work environment.
- Must have knowledge of PLC ladder logic and AutoCAD.
- 10 years of boiler experience required.
- Solid managerial experience and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Domestic travel required 5% of the time
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
