INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Industrial Hygienist (IH) while providing oversight and supervision over the Bioenvironmental Engineering (BE) and Public Health (PH) elements.

Directs, conducts, audits and evaluates the Installation Occupational and Environmental Health Surveillance Programs. Plans, organizes and directs the Bioenvironmental Engineering and Public Health Office (BE/PHO) activities for Youngstown Joint Airport (JAP) and all tenant units. Manages the Installation Bioenvironmental Engineering and Public Health Office (PHO)Programs to include but not limited to Hazardous Communications, Respiratory Protection, Radiation Protection, Laser Protection, Food and Water Vulnerability, Thermal Stress, Ergonomic Stress, Indoor Air Quality, Ventilation, Hearing Conservation, Subsistence Recall, Food Safety and Defense, Medical Entomology, BE/PH Emergency Response, Blood Borne Pathogen, Fetal Protection, and Industrial Sanitation. Directs the Bioenvironmental Engineering Emergency Response team. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
