Industrial Hygienist

About the Position: This position is located at 673rd Medical Group, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change.

Perform industrial hygiene and occupational health (OH) surveillance tasks, management control, program management, technical support and quality control.

Identify, evaluate and control a wide range of health hazards at an Military Treatment Facility.

Complete and document surveillance assessment findings and recommend corrective actions and controls in automated systems.

Provide OH exposure data to Public Health personnel and represent Bioenvironmental Engineering elements at the Occupational and Environmental Health Working Group (OEHWG).

Manage programs to include occupational health routine surveillance, respiratory protection, ventilation, radiation protection, fetal protection, hazardous noise, self-inspection, training, special surveillance and hazard communication.
