Industrial Maintenance Technician

Join SPLASH Products, a division of Factory Motor Parts, Inc., as we seek a dedicated Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Saint Paul, MN production facility. This individual will be responsible for the care, repair & preventative maintenance of the facility and its equipment. This role is scheduled for 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with overtime as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preventive Maintenance (PM): Performing scheduled checks, lubrication, and part replacements to prevent equipment failure.
  • Troubleshooting: Using diagnostic tools (like multimeters and vibration analyzers) to find the root cause of a machine malfunction.
  • Repairs & Overhauls: Dismantling machinery to replace defective parts like motors, bearings, or hydraulic cylinders.
  • Electrical & PLC Work: Programming and repairing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), which are the "brains" of automated factory machines.
  • System Installation: Reading blueprints and schematics to install and calibrate new industrial equipment.

  • Assist other team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous manufacturing or general maintenance experience. 1-2 years minimum.
  • Working knowledge and proper use of power and hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of equipment such as Bottling Lines, Drop Packers, Top Sealers, Palletizers, Case Erectors, Blow Molding machines is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with machinery. Physical essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching, and moving around machinery. Lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Ability to consistently work in extreme temperatures.
