We are looking for an experienced industrial painter that takes pride in their work, has the end user in mind when painting a project, and has the desire to grow personally and professionally with NIX!
Our ideal candidate will:
- Prepare items to be painted including all sanding, masking, and repair work
- Perform a variety of routine and preventative maintenance painting such as structural steel painting, in preparation for zinc, enamel, epoxy, bitumastic, and urethane painting on a variety of surfaces
- Maintain safety and quality standards in the performance of duties
- Clean up facilities on a daily basis
- Ensures manager is aware of any issues which can impact customer satisfaction or billing
- Maintains good condition and cleanliness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment, including the return of tools to storage areas
- Ensures all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamwork
- Participates in all requested job-related training and development, as well as taking an active interest in improving skills with other training programs
- Follows all company and common sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with operating airless and conventional spray equipment
- Auto body skills preferred but not required
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment (forklifts, hydraulic lifts, etc)
- Ability to lift 50 - 55 pounds as required without assistance
- Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
- Strong organizational skills
