East Penn Canada Industrial Sales Representative
The Sales Representative – Industrial Power Solutions is responsible for maximizing sales opportunities with a portfolio of new and existing customers within an assigned territory. This role focuses on driving revenue growth through consultative selling, customer relationship management, and business development activities while supporting key accounts and promoting East Penn Canada's industrial power solutions products and services. The successful candidate will spend a significant portion of their time engaging directly with end users to understand operational needs, provide solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Duties & Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local site management and key decision makers, acting as a trusted advisor to customers.
Grow sales within an assigned territory through direct and indirect sales strategies and effective account management.
Service key and national accounts within the territory, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
Communicate sales initiatives, promotions, and advertising programs to dealers and customers.
Support product delivery and set-up activities for new customer installations.
Review preventative maintenance reports to identify potential sales and service opportunities.
Follow up with customers after preventative maintenance visits to ensure satisfaction and discuss recommendations.
Educate customers on enhancements and upgrades that can improve operational efficiency and reliability.
Work with sales leadership and key account representatives to establish territory objectives and target customer lists.
Prospect and cultivate new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and developing relationships with potential customers.
Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline through CRM tools such as Salesforce.
Collaborate with colleagues and freely share knowledge to contribute to the success of the sales team and the broader organization.
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline an asset
5+ years of sales experience in a business-to-business environment, preferably industrial
Knowledge of sales techniques, territory management, and customer relationship development
Experience with solution-based selling
Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering exceptional service
Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships and professional networks
Effective negotiation and influencing skills with a focus on mutually beneficial outcomes
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Results-oriented with the ability to work independently and achieve sales targets
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to teamwork and collaboration
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce
Other Considerations:
Valid Class 5 driver's licence required with clean driving record (driver's abstract will be requested)
Sales Representatives must be willing and able to take part in daily in-territory travel, as well as approximately 20% overnight travel (3-5 nights per month, on average)
Sales Representatives will be expected to use their own vehicle for work purposes, and will be provided with an annual car allowance and gas card
Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record and professional references, will be required as a condition of employment
Expected annual salary for this role is $80,000-$90,000 plus variable earnings (exact annual salary offered to the successful applicant will be determined by the candidate's experience, education, related knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data)
