JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Customer Service Representative will interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner while receiving requests and by handling directly, or forwarding to the correct department for completion. A Technical Customer Service Technician will manage all incoming parts and service requests and make sure they are correctly completed in a timely manner. Working with the Service Manager, the Technical Customer Service Representative will develop and implement a proactive sales plan for the Parts and Service department. Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills are required to handle the continuous stream of commonly time sensitive requests.

JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Ability to speak with customers on a technical level and to develop a in depth understanding of Vector's Industrial and Municipal products in order to effectively and quickly determine how to best respond to customer requests.
• Working with other departments (Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Logistics), identify materials, parts and supplies needed to complete a repair/replacement in a safe and efficient manner.
• Uses a computer and computer programs to find information concerning the assemblies, schematics, and equipment information, as well as input orders and track shipments.
• Be able to read prints and schematics as well as technical manuals and written and spoken instructions.
