Industrial Software Engineer / Systems Engineer
Summary
An in-house software/systems engineer at a major industrial manufacturer in Scunthorpe, developing and supporting production-critical applications built on C# and SQL, troubleshooting integrated plant systems, and supporting Grafana/Power BI reporting as part of a legacy modernisation programme. Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote after probation.
Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong experience in C# development and SQL / relational databases
- Experience working with integrated systems and troubleshooting complex environments
- Process control / industrial / manufacturing experience advantageous
- Develop and support applications using C# and SQL across multiple plant areas
- Troubleshoot and improve integrated systems, interfaces and data flows
- Support reporting and dashboards (Grafana / Power BI)
- Contribute to legacy system support and modernisation/migration work
- Work closely with operations and technical stakeholders
- Contribute to change control and version control practices (Git)
