Industrialization Design Engineer

For the expansion of our team, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Industrialization Design Engineer to join the Business Unit Electrical Safety Solutions (ESS). The successful candidate will support product industrialization from development through serial production while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across multiple production sites worldwide.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical design and industrialization activities supporting products throughout their complete lifecycle.
- Support prototype manufacturing, industrial validation, production ramp-up and serial production.
- Provide hands-on technical support to production teams and participate actively in solving manufacturing issues.
- Propose and implement robust, pragmatic and cost-effective technical solutions.
- Create, update and maintain mechanical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation using SolidWorks, PLM systems and Oracle ERP.
- Work efficiently with SolidWorks, PLM and Oracle ERP, selecting the most appropriate methodologies to support industrialization activities.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and assess their impact on manufacturing, inventory and customer deliveries.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Quality to improve manufacturability and product reliability.
- Participate in Non-Conformity Report (NCR) investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Support production operators through technical guidance and practical problem solving.
- Contribute to product and process continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and traceability of technical documentation.
- Share technical knowledge and support Industrialization teams worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical discipline
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering is considered an advantage. Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, industrialization or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience supporting production, prototype validation and industrialization activities.
- Experience with Engineering Change Management and BOM management.
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems.
- Experience working in a multicultural and multi-site industrial environment is considered an advantage.
- Excellent proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with Oracle ERP and PLM/PDM systems (Audros is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, machining, sheet metal and assembly.
- Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management and configuration management.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and industrial best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Clear and structured communication skills.
- Hands-on attitude with the ability to provide practical technical support on the shop floor.
- Ability to train and support production teams when required.
- English fluency is mandatory, as well as capacity to communicate in French. Other languages are a plus.
