Infant Care Educator (Chinese)
Summary
Provide nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate care for infants aged 2–18 months in a licensed center, following early childhood frameworks and partnering with parents.
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Infant Care Educator to join our team. In this role, you will create a safe, respectful, and stimulating environment for infants aged 2 months to 18 months, fostering early developmental milestones through responsive caregiving and secure attachments.
Key Responsibilities
- Holistic Caregiving: Oversee daily routines including feeding, diapering, grooming, and managing sleep schedules with the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
- Curriculum Implementation: Design and execute age-appropriate sensory, physical, and cognitive experiences aligned with early years development frameworks.
- Parent Partnership: Maintain consistent, professional, and empathetic communication with parents regarding daily updates, infant progress, and developmental milestones.
- Environment & Safety: Ensure the infant care environment is clean, sanitised, secure, and conducive to safe exploration.
- Team Collaboration: Partner effectively with co-teachers and centre leadership to maintain operational excellence and prepare for centre reviews/evaluations.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications: Must hold an ECDA-recognized qualification for the early years sector, such as: Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC)Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)
- Certification: Valid First Aid Certification (Child/Infant First Aid) is highly advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an ECDA-licensed centre preferred.
- Core Competencies: Strong team player, excellent communication skills, patient, and deeply passionate about early childhood development.
