Infant Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience - Upper West Side, New York, NY
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

The Learning Experience - Upper West Side is hiring an Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team!
We're looking for a nurturing, dependable educator who understands the importance of responsive infant care and enjoys creating a safe, loving environment where babies can explore, develop, and thrive.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily activities and routines in an Infant classroom
- Provide attentive, responsive care that supports each infant's individual needs
- Plan age-appropriate sensory, movement, music, and early learning experiences
- Support feeding, diapering, safe sleep, and daily care routines
- Observe developmental milestones and maintain required documentation
- Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Follow applicable NYC childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education required
- Must meet applicable NYC qualifications for the assigned Infant Lead Teacher position
- Previous professional infant classroom or childcare experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of infant development, responsive caregiving, and safe sleep practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Patient, dependable, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood education
