Infant Long Term Substitute Teacher

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Grace Beginnings Academy is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Infant Assistant Teacher from January through April 2027. This part-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 12:15–5:45 PM (27.5 hours per week). During this time, the substitute will take on the responsibilities of an Infant Assistant Teacher.

• Support classroom educational experiences as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist in completing documentation of daily activities and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
• Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom, and take responsibility for completing the duties required to keep the facility orderly.
• Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
• At pick-up, foster positive relationships with parents.
• Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
• Attend all required training, staff meetings, or events.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential to this position.
• Maintains licensing compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
