Information Architect

Salary: $150 - $175ph (inc-Super) - weekly pay options

• 8+12+12+12 month contract - 40 hours pw
• Baseline Security Clearance required
• Align future state architecture with business objectives

Our client, an independent Federal Government regulator responsible for administering emissions reduction, carbon and renewable energy schemes, require the services of an Information Architect for a long term contract opportunity.

Duties of the Information Architect

• Design, structure, & govern business information assets to align with business needs & strategic objectives;
• Ensure information assets are consistently structured, classified, governed, & integrated across business systems & services.
• Design, document, & govern information architectures that support business capabilities, service delivery, & enterprise information management objectives;
• Work closely with business & technical stakeholders to understand information requirements
• Develop information models & structures, define metadata & taxonomy frameworks, support information governance initiatives, & ensure information assets are aligned with enterprise & data architecture strategies.
• Contribute to Agile delivery practices, maintain work items in Azure DevOps, support governance activities, & provide knowledge transfer to build internal capability.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience designing, implementing, & governing enterprise information architectures, information models, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, & content structures;
• Demonstrated experience developing information management standards, governance frameworks, classification schemes, and practices that improve information quality, accessibility, compliance, and usability;
• Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, & collaborate with business & technical stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, architects, & governance forums;
• Experience designing logical & conceptual information models, information classifications, metadata standards, taxonomies, & structures that support discoverability, reuse, & interoperability;
• Experience ensuring information architecture aligns with enterprise, data, solution, & business architecture practices while supporting integration across systems & services;
• Strong ability to produce high-quality information architecture artefacts, governance documentation, briefing papers, standards, roadmaps, & executive presentations;
• Understanding of information management obligations relating to privacy, records management, security classifications, information governance, and regulatory compliance;
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, using tools such as Azure DevOps, & ensuring alignment with enterprise governance, architecture standards, & organisational policies.
