Requirements:- We are looking for a seasoned professional with at least 7 to 10 years experience in information security, with hands-on network engineering experience.
- We ideally want around 5+ years of work experience in network engineering and 10+ years experience with Cisco products.
- We need strong skills in information security management, including defining and enforcing security policies and governance.
- We require hands-on experience with Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), including implementation, maintenance, and audit readiness.
- We need proficiency in cybersecurity and network security, including threat detection, vulnerability management, network hardening, and incident response.
- We require demonstrated network engineering experience covering routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and secure network design.
- We would value certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+, or similar.
- We need experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST.
- We need the ability to analyze complex technical environments, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document security requirements and processes.
- We require a bachelors degree in computer science, information security, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Key networking skills include Cisco network switches Layer 2 and 3, routing protocol OSPF, switch stacking, virtual routing and forwarding, internetworking troubleshooting, and high availability/disaster recovery.
- Key security skills include Cisco Firepower firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Layer 2 port security, network access control, network detection and response, network encryption, Cisco Secure Client, network IPS, zero-day protection, endpoint protection, and host IPS.
- Preferred knowledge includes vulnerability management, penetration testing concepts, security zone design, network and security architecture design, information security principles, MITRE ATT&CK, SIEM use cases, risk management, malware/ransomware mitigation, and security audits.
- We oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of information security policies, procedures, and controls across networks and systems.
- We manage the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- We monitor cybersecurity and network security events.
- We coordinate incident response.
- We ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- We collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to assess risks and implement technical and procedural safeguards.
- We support secure network architecture and configuration.
- We produce security documentation.
- We lead security awareness initiatives.
- We provide guidance on secure network engineering practices.
- We handle crisis situations during security incidents.

We are a bank based in Central London offering a full-time hybrid role with some remote working and three days in the office. The role is focused mainly on information security and data security, with around 80% information security and 20% network engineering, and it is hands-on technically. The salary range is 85,000 to 100,000 plus benefits.
