Information Security Professional - Guernsey
Summary
An information security consultant role supporting clients across the Channel Islands with security reviews, risk assessments, audits, and frameworks like Cyber Essentials, IASME Cyber Assurance and ISO 27001, plus incident investigations and advisory work. Based in Guernsey or Jersey with inter-island client travel; M365/Azure familiarity is helpful but not essential.
Our client,is seeking an Information Security professional to join their team, supporting a diverse range of clients across the Channel Islands. The position can be based in either Guernsey or Jersey, with some inter-island travel and client-site visits expected.
The role offers a varied mix of technical security, governance, risk management, compliance and client advisory work.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conducting security reviews, identifying potential risks and providing clear reports and recommendations to clients.

Supporting clients with information security policies, risk assessments, audits and recognised frameworks, including Cyber Essentials, IASME Cyber Assurance and ISO 27001.

Assisting with cyber security incident investigations and recommending improvements.

Reviewing security controls, identifyingvulnerabilities and supporting improvements across systems, infrastructure and cloud environments.

Providing practical security advice to clients and communicating technical findings clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a background in IT, cyber security, information security, risk management or compliance, with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft 365/Azure and associated security technologies would be beneficial, although a willingness to develop knowledge in this area is equally welcomed.
Relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
Our client is open to considering candidates at different levels of experience, from those looking to develop their careers in information security through to more experienced professionals. Responsibilities will be tailored to the successful candidate's skills and experience.
