Information System Operations Specialist
Salary: RM 4,500 – RM 6,500 per month
Responsibilities
Perform daily health checks and monitoring for business systems, including alerts, access permissions, system releases, version updates, and basic configuration tasks.
Handle day-to-day system and business-related issues by collecting logs, reproducing issues where possible, and providing initial analysis before escalating complex cases to the relevant technical teams.
Support backend configuration, data validation, user enquiries, and basic operational reporting.
Follow up on system incidents and unresolved issues, coordinating with local teams, technical teams, vendors, and business partners until closure.
Maintain clear handover notes, incident records, SOPs, operational guides, and FAQs based on existing templates.
Support local IT and business projects, including coordination with third-party service providers and internal stakeholders.
Provide cross-time-zone operational support and respond to urgent business issues outside normal working hours when required.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in Application Support, IT Operations, System Support, NOC, Technical Support, Server Administration, or a similar role.
Basic hands-on knowledge of Linux and Windows environments, including command-line operations, system monitoring, and log analysis.
Basic understanding of SQL, databases, computer networks, and at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or Huawei Cloud.
Able to independently handle common system and operational issues and provide clear, complete information when escalating technical problems.
Basic to good English and Mandarin communication skills for working with local teams, vendors, and business partners.
Strong ownership, attention to detail, communication, and follow-up skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Comfortable working across time zones, including shift arrangements or occasional after-hours support when required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting cross-border businesses, internet companies, e-commerce, logistics, or regional B2B/B2C operations.
Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, automation tools, or reporting/data analysis tools.
Experience in project coordination, vendor management, or working with regional teams.
Comfortable using AI tools to improve documentation, reporting, operational efficiency, and problem-solving.
