Information Technology Specialist (Application Software/System Analysis)

Summary

Develops, maintains, and optimizes software applications and databases for a U.S. government education agency, focusing on ServiceNow and .NET with web technologies.

About the Position: This position is for the Department of War Education Activity, Information Technology Division's Data Integration/Enterprise Automation team located in Peachtree City, GA. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is transitioning to the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA). This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Assist in managing existing software quality assurance processes and enforcing existing software and data quality standards.

Plan and coordinate the development of data structures and data elements to use in the system, and to maximum performance tuning of the databases.

Develop variety of designs, programming and documentation tasks for IT applications.

Prepare project plans, meetings, budgets, standard operating procedures, reports and resource utilization estimates.

Analyze and maintain inventory of applications/systems and metrics such as cost to build and maintain an application, how often an application is used, and the interrelationships with other applications.

Develop applications and workflows in ServiceNow and potentially other platforms utilizing a variety of programming languages or tools, such as , NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, XML, and other web languages/tools.
