This vacancy is for an Information Technology Specialist (Senior IT Product Manager) in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) within the Department of Commerce.

As an Information Technology Specialist (Senior IT Product Manager), you will perform the following duties: Serve as Senior Information Technology Product Manager. Lead the product lifecycle of software applications and data solutions from concept, design, development, and testing to deployment and continuous improvement. Oversee the design and development of systems capable of performing tasks that include the use of machine learning (Artificial Intelligence) to create, deliver, and maintain algorithms, large language models, and systems that can process and analyze data used to make intelligent decisions or predictions. Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, system architects, and project managers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of software solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders across BIS to define product vision, goals, and roadmaps that align with BIS objectives and end-user needs. Develop metrics to measure product success and ensure applications meet agency goals. Monitor product performance and user feedback, implementing changes or improvements based on data-driven insights.
