Information Technology Specialist (Vulnerability Assurance Analyst (VAT)

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), in the Chief Information Office (CIO). Provides information technology support, including data repositories, integrated systems, and cloud architectures as they relate to intelligence and analysis to the Secretary and the broad DHS Intelligence Enterprise (DHS IE), as well as DHS partners and customers to protect the homeland. As a Information Technology Specialist (Vulnerability Assurance Analyst (VAT), GS-2210-13, your typical work assignments may include: The incumbent is responsible for supporting ongoing IT projects and programs that have a significant impact on the delivery of National Security and Intelligence Systems. Keeps abreast of changes in stakeholder mission requirements through interaction with management in Division and Program organization. Explores ways to upgrade or enhance the level of IT services provided. Identifies problems and specific issues and conducts feasibility studies for enhancements and modifications to classified systems. Acts as liaison to Information Assurance programs and participates in coordinating continuous system authorization.
