This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Infosec Engineer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to strengthen the security posture of enterprise customers through hands-on cybersecurity analysis, monitoring, and advisory support.
You’ll work with security data, enterprise systems, endpoint telemetry, and customer environments to investigate challenging security issues.
The position combines technical security expertise with customer engagement, helping organizations improve protection coverage and reduce cyber risk.
You’ll contribute to managed detection and response operations while collaborating with security, support, product, and customer success teams.
A key part of the role is reviewing configurations, identifying vulnerabilities and gaps, and translating technical findings into practical recommendations.
You’ll operate in a fast-paced, continuously evolving cybersecurity environment where curiosity, analytical thinking, and adaptability are highly valued.
Because the service operates continuously, flexibility to support a 24x7x365 operational model is essential.

Accountabilities:

  • Analyze enterprise systems, security data, logs, endpoint information, and customer environments to identify and investigate cybersecurity issues.
  • Review customer security configurations and protection coverage to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improving overall security posture.
  • Recommend practical security improvements and best practices designed to reduce exposure to cyber threats and strengthen operational readiness.
  • Support customers in adopting and maximizing the effectiveness of managed detection and response services.
  • Respond to customer scenarios and service-related issues, documenting investigations, solutions, and remediation activities while ensuring timely and dependable resolution.
  • Communicate security findings, recommendations, service capabilities, and remediation progress clearly through email, phone, messaging platforms, and virtual meetings.
  • Create service-related reports and maintain accurate documentation covering customer engagements, recommendations, issues, and remediation efforts.
  • Track remediation activities and provide clear updates on progress, outstanding risks, and required customer actions.
  • Collaborate with Support, Customer Success, Product, Security, Threat Response, and other internal teams to deliver strong customer outcomes.
  • Assist core security and threat response teams with investigations, analysis, and operational activities when required.
  • Support customer onboarding and service adoption by helping ensure environments are configured according to established security best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of cybersecurity products, services, operational processes, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in customer security programs, service delivery, and operational effectiveness.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, security monitoring, vulnerability management, cyber risk reduction, and managed security services.
    • Understanding of network traffic analysis and core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
    • Familiarity with enterprise security data management; experience with SIEM, EDR, or XDR technologies is an advantage.
    • Understanding of endpoint, network, cloud, and identity security concepts.
    • Experience reviewing security configurations, identifying potential risks, and providing practical security recommendations is highly valuable.
    • Ability to analyze operational, security, and configuration data to identify vulnerabilities, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with the curiosity to investigate issues beyond their initial symptoms.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain security concepts and recommendations clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Strong customer service, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high-quality work in a fast-paced operational environment.
    • Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, ownership, and follow-through.
    • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a distributed team.
    • Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies, tools, and cybersecurity practices quickly.
    • Innovative and creative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box when addressing complex security challenges.
    • Willingness to work outside standard business hours, including weekends and holidays, as part of a 24x7x365 managed detection and response operation.
    • Must have legal authorization to work in India without requiring employer sponsorship.
