Infrastructure Architect

Summary

The Infrastructure Architect will design and document identity and access management solutions, specifically focusing on account provisioning and authentication flows between on-premises Active Directory and Google Workspace. The role involves evaluating synchronization and federation strategies to support a complex public-sector migration project.

About the Company

At Avaron, you get the security of permanent employment combined with the variety of working at different customers. We place specialists across everything from tech, IT and industry to project management and business support – and whatever the assignment, you have a consultant manager who is there for you and your development.

About the Role

You will help shape a future identity and access setup in a large, complex public-sector environment. The focus is on evaluating and designing how account provisioning and authentication should work between on-premises Active Directory and Google Workspace as part of a new AD structure. You will compare different technical approaches, explain trade-offs clearly, and recommend the solution that best fits the customer’s needs.

A key part of the role is to assess whether the current setup should continue with Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS), transition to Entra ID for account synchronization, or move toward another suitable approach. You will also evaluate the right federation solution for the future target state and outline how the transition should be handled during an account migration to a new Active Directory environment. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy solving complex identity architecture challenges and turning them into clear, actionable recommendations.
