Infrastructure Architect
We're partnering with a large, complex organisation seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to provide technical leadership across its core infrastructure environment.
This role will focus on assessing the current technology landscape, defining future-state architecture and providing practical recommendations across compute, storage, backup, virtualisation and end-user computing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide architecture and technical direction across enterprise compute, storage, backup and virtualisation environments.
- Assess existing backup and recovery capabilities and recommend appropriate future-state solutions.
- Review the current virtualisation environment and evaluate future options, including alternative platforms and approaches.
- Provide architectural guidance across enterprise storage, compute and data protection technologies.
- Assess virtual desktop and end-user computing environments, including potential alternative VDI solutions.
- Develop practical technology roadmaps and recommendations that balance capability, operational requirements, cost and future direction.
- Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to guide infrastructure strategy and key technology decisions.
About you
You'll be an experienced Infrastructure Architect with a strong background across enterprise infrastructure and the ability to operate at both strategic and technical levels.
Ideally, you'll bring experience across:
- Enterprise backup and recovery technologies, with Commvault experience highly regarded.
- VMware virtualisation environments and broader enterprise compute infrastructure.
- Enterprise storage and data protection platforms, with Dell Data Domain experience advantageous.
- Alternative virtualisation technologies, including Hyper-V.
- Citrix, virtual desktop infrastructure and broader end-user computing technologies.
- Infrastructure assessments, technology roadmaps and future-state architecture.
