Infrastructure Architect
Summary
The Infrastructure Architect will design and oversee enterprise-level infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud environments. The role involves managing identity systems, ensuring architectural governance, and supporting large-scale cloud migration and transformation initiatives.
Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture within complex organisations
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
- Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure
- Knowledge of identity and access management, including Entra ID and Azure AD
- Experience with infrastructure governance, standards and architectural assurance
- Experience supporting cloud migration and transformation programmes
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Bicep or ARM
- Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery and resilience planning
- Experience working with enterprise platforms including Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
- Professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF or FinOps are welcomed but not essential
- Define infrastructure architecture, principles, standards and technology roadmaps
- Shape Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 strategy across a complex global environment
- Lead architecture for hybrid cloud, identity, security and resilience
- Support large-scale migration and modernisation programmes
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, automation and platform engineering best practices
- Provide architectural governance across cloud and on-premises platforms
- Help shape approaches to AI-enabled infrastructure, Microsoft Copilot and emerging Microsoft technologies
- Influence cloud cost optimisation, operational efficiency and long-term technology strategy
- Work closely with engineering, cyber security and enterprise applications teams to deliver scalable, secure platforms
