Infrastructure & Capital Projects - Construction Inspector II, ANS
Summary
On-site construction inspector verifies compliance with plans, codes, and quality standards for heavy civil infrastructure projects like transit systems and public works.
THE WORK:
- You'll provide daily site inspection reports to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and contract requirements.
- You'll inspect reinforcing steel, cast-in-place concrete, foundations, utilities, and other heavy civil infrastructure elements to ensure conformance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- You'll coordinate and witness concrete and materials testing activities, including sampling, slump, air content, temperature, compressive strength, and other required quality control tests.
- You'll verify installation of materials, equipment, embedded items, completed construction work, field surveys, elevations, dimensions, and layout control.
- You'll coordinate with owners, contractors, consultants, designers, testing laboratories, regulatory agencies, and third-party special inspection providers to support project delivery.
- You'll monitor contractor labor, equipment, and material utilization; document force account work; measure and record pay quantities; and assist with construction change negotiations.
- You'll review contractor schedules, construction sequencing, labor compliance requirements, and potential change order issues that may impact project cost or schedule.
- You'll attend and actively participate in construction, safety, and project coordination meetings, serving as a key field representative.
- You'll identify, document, and track nonconforming work, verify corrective actions, and help ensure compliance prior to acceptance of completed work.
- You'll maintain comprehensive project documentation, including inspection reports, testing records, safety documentation, photographs, daily reports, and related project records while applying working knowledge of ACI, CRSI, ASTM, and ICC inspection requirements.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- Onsite at delivery center: You will be onsite at our delivery center for the majority of your work hours.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
- In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have at least 5 years of construction-related experience
- Compliance with Accenture vehicle policy is required or be willing to travel to various project areas as needed
