Infrastructure & Capital Projects – QA/QC Manager
Summary
Oversee quality assurance and control for industrial electrical projects, ensuring compliance with energy-sector standards and performing electrical testing to validate installations and materials.
THE WORK:
- You'll develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures aligned with applicable industry standards and regulations, including CFE, NOM, and IEC requirements.
- You'll verify materials, installation practices, testing activities, and construction records to ensure quality and compliance throughout project execution.
- You'll perform routine technical inspections and generate detailed photographic and documentary reports to support quality control activities.
- You'll identify, document, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), coordinating corrective and preventive actions with project stakeholders.
- You'll oversee and validate electrical testing activities, including megger, transformer turns ratio (TTR), insulation resistance, dielectric, and related technical tests.
- You'll analyze quality and technical performance metrics, presenting project status, risks, and quality updates during progress and executive-level meetings.
- You'll manage project closeout activities, ensuring technical documentation, quality records, and deliverables are complete and properly maintained.
- You'll collaborate closely with planning, construction supervision, engineering, and PMO teams to achieve project milestones and compliance objectives.
- You'll support client inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews by representing the organization and providing quality-related documentation and evidence.
- You'll drive continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure safe, compliant, and contractually aligned project outcomes within industrial electrical projects.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in industrial electrical projects, including high-voltage substations and transmission line projects.
- Proven experience applying quality standards and regulations relevant to the Mexican energy sector, including CFE and NOM requirements.
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing activities such as megger testing, TTR, insulation resistance, dielectric testing, and quality verification processes.
- Strong background in technical documentation, record management, reporting, inspections, NCR management, and bilingual communication skills (Spanish and English).
