Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer (AI-Native)
Summary
In-house IT infrastructure engineer supporting The Body Shop Indonesia's operations: owns the data center, VMware virtualization, networks, and Microsoft 365/Active Directory, plus cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), backup/DR, and CI/CD automation. Day-to-day mixes infrastructure upkeep, incident troubleshooting, and scripting manual work away in Python/PowerShell.
About the role
We run a lean IT team supporting The Body Shop Indonesia's day to day operations. This role owns our infrastructure end to end: the data center, the servers and virtualization underneath it, the networks that connect our sites, and the automation that keeps all of it from becoming manual work. You will have real autonomy over how this environment runs, along with budget, vendor support, and AI tooling to lean on.
What you'll do
Infrastructure and data centre
Monitor and maintain the data center: servers, VMware, storage, and capacity
Own backup and restore, and prove recovery works before you need it
Run Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, and directory services
Cloud
Manage our cloud environment: compute, storage, networking, and identity/access
Run hybrid connectivity between cloud and on-prem, and keep backup and DR consistent across both
Keep cloud spend visible and under control through right-sizing, decommissioning idle resources, and reviewing billing
Network and connectivity
Keep site connectivity up: switching, routing, firewalls, ACLs, and VPN
Troubleshoot network and system incidents to root cause, not just to restoration
Automation and delivery
Build CI/CD and deployment automation for internal applications
Script your way out of repetitive work (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and containerize where it helps
Turn recurring manual procedures into something that runs itself
Security and operations
Maintain security posture: patching, hardening, certificates, access control
Handle service requests and act as Level 2 escalation for the helpdesk
Manage vendors, licenses, and assets, including the procurement administration
About you
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of hands-on in DevOps, infrastructure, or system engineering, with real production systems behind you
Infrastructure and networking: VMware or equivalent virtualization, Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, switching and routing, firewalls and ACLs, backup, and monitoring
Cloud: hands-on experience running workloads on at least one public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure), covering compute, storage, networking, and IAM
Automation: CI/CD, scripting in Python or PowerShell, Docker and containerization
Comfortable using AI tools in your daily work
Calm during a live incident, methodical at root cause, and able to reason about a system rather than only run commands against it
