Infrastructure / DevOps / SRE Engineer — SCARCE Labs, Inc.
Compensation: $170k – $180k • 0.25% – 1.0%
SCARCE Labs, Inc. · Remote (US time zones preferred) · Full-time · Pre-seed
About SCARCE SCARCE is building institutional-grade infrastructure for tokenized ultra-luxury real estate. We combine compliant security-token rails with a production agentic orchestration layer (Orchestra) designed for family offices, RIAs, and sophisticated allocators. We issue completed assets as Programmable Allocations™ — we are creating the operating system that lets institutional capital actively manage real-estate exposure as a portfolio instrument. We are pre-seed, deliberately lean, and hiring only high-ownership operators who want to define foundational systems.
The Role We are looking for an Infrastructure / DevOps / SRE engineer to own the reliability, observability, and operational backbone of the platform from the ground up. You will work closely with our Platform & Agentic lead, Manish Pande, and with On-Chain engineer, Security/GRC leads as the other two seats commencing at close, to ensure that both the agentic systems and the on-chain infrastructure can run with institutional-grade uptime, auditability, and security.
What you’ll own
Cloud infrastructure design and implementation (AWS preferred) CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and deployment automation Observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response Reliability and performance of core services (agent orchestration, data pipelines, API layers) Security hardening and secrets management in collaboration with our GRC lead Infrastructure-as-code and reproducible environments Early production readiness for regulated financial workflows
Ideal background
The seat needs the person who has been the only one responsible for a production estate. Strong experience with AWS (or equivalent cloud) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK, etc.) Proven track record running production systems with real uptime and incident ownership Comfortable with containers, orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS), and modern CI/CD Experience in fintech, crypto, or other regulated environments is a significant plus Ability to operate with high autonomy in a small, senior team Bonus: exposure to blockchain nodes, indexer infrastructure, and agentic/LLM systems
What success looks like
Auditability is what success looks like. We're hiring for regulated financial workflows, and the audit trail, which is the thing that actually distinguishes this estate.
Compensation & Structure Cash compensation calibrated at financing. This is a high-ownership founding-team seat.
