Infrastructure Engineer
Summary
Designs, maintains, and supports enterprise IT infrastructure — Windows/Linux servers, VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix virtualization, storage (SAN/NAS), and networking (firewalls, VPN, TCP/IP). Day-to-day involves monitoring, patching, backup/DR, troubleshooting, and infrastructure upgrades and capacity planning.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure reliability, performance, security, and scalability across servers, storage, networking, and virtualization environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain enterprise server and network infrastructure.
Deploy, configure, and support Windows and Linux servers.
Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot system issues.
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
Maintain network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
Ensure infrastructure security through patch management and vulnerability remediation.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Understanding of storage technologies, SAN/NAS, and backup solutions.
Knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Microsoft, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or ITIL.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments.
Knowledge of automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
