Overview

In this role, you will support the software development lifecycle within a large-scale cloud microservices ecosystem, focusing on implementing business logic and simulation models. You will work in the Valencia office to analyze processes, develop and validate models, and connect simulations to real-world control systems used in marine terminal environments. You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to deliver data-driven insights and reports. This opportunity lets you shape modeling approaches in a leading maritime infrastructure firm with a strong heritage and global reach. You will contribute to impactful projects that optimize coastal, port, and river systems

Responsabilidades
  • Develop simulation models for analyzing processes and layouts using discrete event simulation software and programming
  • Software/model development using languages such as C and C++
  • Debugging, validation, verification, and output analysis of simulation models
  • Document modeling assumptions, processes, results, and report findings
  • Develop emulation models connecting to real-world control systems such as Terminal Operating System (TOS) used in marine terminals
  • Data collection and analysis as model inputs
  • Numerical and statistical analysis of various operation processes
  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers during data gathering, model development, analysis, reporting, and presentation
Requisitos principales
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, computer science, math, or related field
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in discrete event simulation modeling preferred
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, C#
  • Experience in software development lifecycle a plus
  • Experience in port and container terminal operations preferred
  • Pre-employment background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
