Infrastructure Engineer (12-Month Contract, Renewable)

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across server and network environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and operating systems.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents, service disruptions, and operational issues.
  • Manage network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related connectivity components.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity processes.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Assist with capacity planning, performance optimization, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with application, project, and security teams to support deployments, infrastructure onboarding, and ongoing operational requirements.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation and provide after-hours support when required.

Must-Have (Priority Skills)

  1. Server & Operating System Administration Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server administration. Strong knowledge of patch management, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  2. Network Infrastructure Experience managing switches, firewalls, load balancers, and core networking components. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and network troubleshooting.
  3. Infrastructure Operations Experience with infrastructure monitoring, incident management, production support, backup and disaster recovery processes. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in enterprise or data center environments.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
