Infrastructure Engineer (SRE)

Discussion

Palantir

Infrastructure Engineer - UK Government (3 candidates)

Full-time

London, United Kingdom - Hybrid (1-2 Days Onsite/Week)

90K - 105K

What we're looking for:

We need someone with 1-5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or SRE who has hands-on experience building, operating, and maintaining large-scale production systems. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment with on-call responsibilities and have a track record of automating manual processes and improving system reliability. Bonus points if you have defense tech or government experience and Kubernetes expertise.

Why candidates should join

Why This Role Stands Out

  • High-impact work on national security: You'll build and operate infrastructure that directly supports the UK government's most critical missions. This isn't abstract - your work has real-world consequences every single day.
  • Fast-paced environment vs. traditional defense: Palantir moves at startup speed while solving government-scale problems. If you're frustrated by how slow traditional defense contractors operate, this is the antidote - more ownership, faster iteration, and real autonomy.
  • Ownership and autonomy from day one: You won't be a cog in a machine. You'll own reliability and operations for critical systems, make architecture decisions, and drive automation initiatives with minimal bureaucracy.
  • Cutting-edge tech stack: You'll work with Kubernetes, distributed systems, LLM/AI tooling, and Palantir's own platforms (Foundry and Apollo). The team invests in the best tools for the job - not legacy systems.
  • Strong compensation package: Base salary of 90K 105K GBP plus RSUs in a publicly traded company (NYSE: PLTR). Total comp is competitive against both big tech and defense tech in the UK market.
  • Career growth without traditional ladders: Palantir celebrates individual strengths and offers multiple pathways to success rather than forcing you into a rigid career ladder. Your growth is shaped by your interests and impact.
  • Relocation support available: If you're based outside London, Palantir will help with relocation - so geography shouldn't be a blocker.
