Infrastructure Manager

Salary: AUD 180000 - 190000 per annum, null

A house-hold brand in Australian Retail is looking to add an experienced Infrastructure Manager to their team. This enterprise organization has been going through successful growth and this is a newly created position within the company.

A combination of people management & technical leadership, the Infrastructure Manager will lead of team of 16 people, driving strategy, modernization & operations specifically in the traditional IT infrastructure stack. The IT Infrastructure environment comprises of over 3,000 servers across numerous sites including 3 DCs.

What you will be doing:

• Provide technical and strategic direction for Infrastructure Services
• Take ownership of planning, designing & implementing Infrastructure, back up & recovery technologies
• Perform workload management, project planning, forecasting and resource allocation
• Align technical activities with organizational strategic objectives
• Define and enhance business processes
• Develop robust processes for ongoing optimization of Infrastructure
• Manage a team of technical engineers to ensure operational and strategic needs are met
• Manage and maintain Infrastructure budgets

What you will need to succeed:

• 5+ years experience in Infrastructure Management
• 10+ years experience in Infrastructure Engineering
• Proven people management skills
• Previous ownership of department budgets and forecasting
• Proficiency with virtualization - VMware, Hyper-V, SANs
• Strong experience / knowledge of Storage, Backup & Recovery technologies
• Experience managing DC technologies
• Excellent communication skills
