Job Responsibilities
- All duties of Infrastructure Support Level 1
- Generate
system utilization reports utilizing monitoring tools such as, SolarWinds &
Vrops
- Creation of DHCP Scopes and Failover
Configurations
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Escalation for Level 1 & 2 Support &
Dispatch
- Enforce IT Infrastructure standards and best
practices to ensure a high degree of user satisfaction based on Management
& Senior
- Administrator/Engineer recommendations
- Logging: Monitor server aggregating logs from
critical servers and other critical systems
- Problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical
skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and
draw valid conclusion to respond to common inquiries or escalations from
end-users
- Remote Access: Configure and maintain remote
access technologies and access such as Remote Desktops Services, VPN
- Server Administration and Management: Setup,
install, configure, administer, maintain, monitor and support physical and
virtual servers including Windows 2016-2022, some Linux, and other Server
Applications products on a heavy virtual environment
- Server Application Management: Administration of
server bound applications such as IIS, Active Directory, VMware, HyperV.
VMware vSphere ESXi, vCenter including vMotion - Storage: Manage and administer SAN/NAS
technologies, Fiber / iSCSI Technology
- Assist
in the planning and execution of network and server technology migrations.
- Onsite
physical work with ability to lift server equipment, rack & stack, cabling,
etc.
- Work
independently with very little supervision while providing clearly documented
activities via weekly summary reporting.
- Time
management, teamwork, and a commitment to learning new skills
Available for rotating on-call scheduling - Must
be willing to work outside normal business hours as needed
- Perform
other work-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with IT
maintenance and technical support or equivalent
combination of education and experience
- Candidates with certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, MCITP will be
given higher consideration including Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certified preferred
- Thorough intermediate knowledge of virtualization technologies
(e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong Understanding of all the following Microsoft infrastructure
applications: Windows Servers, Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services,
Internet Information Services
- Knowledge of the following infrastructure Hardware: Dell and HP
server hardware
- Ability to understand basic powershell/cmd scripting and commands
- Excellent attitude and strong interpersonal and communication
skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
