Innovation Technologist

Summary

Daily lab work preparing and measuring semiconductor samples using tools like SRP and 4-Point Probe, while supporting production and R&D projects in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Characterization Lab Activities – Primary role

· Sample Preparation: Identify products and prepare samples according to established technical instructions, including precise mechanical cutting and polishing.

· Measurement Execution: Configure, calibrate, and operate lab equipment to perform high-precision measurements. A primary focus will be on Spreading Resistance Profiling (SRP) and 4-Point Probe (4PP) to characterize semiconductor dopant profiles and resistivity.

· Data Integrity: Verify data consistency and conformity, document results accurately within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and ensure strict compliance with Statistical Process Control (SPC) guidelines.

2. Prototyping & Fab Support

· Lot Execution: Work hand-in-hand with Development Engineers to execute, track, and expedite prototyping lots through the production line.

3. Metrology Development

· Data Analysis: Assist Metrology Engineers to interpret complex datasets and troubleshoot measurement anomalies.

4. Documentation & Collaboration

· Reporting: Maintain detailed tracking logs of active projects, summarizing lot details, metrics, and experimental outcomes.

· System Utilization: Utilize MES-SiView and data collection systems to smoothly execute lab activities supporting both production and innovation projects.

· EHS Compliance: Ensure all laboratory activities strictly adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, including the safe handling of laboratory chemicals.

Requirements:

· Education: Diploma in Physics, Material Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.

· Experience: Candidates with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a semiconductor lab environment.

· Systems: Familiarity with MES-SiView and data collection systems is highly preferred.

· Technical Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of physical measurements, SPC methodology, and comfort handling standard laboratory chemicals.

Job Requirements: Key Soft Skills

· Highly self-motivated, rigorous, organized, and capable of working independently.

· Agile mindset with the ability to pivot between structured production support and dynamic R&D tasks.

· Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across cultures and time zones (specifically with our HQ in France).
