Inpatient Hospice RN

Location: Longmont, COSchedule: Thursday, Friday, & Saturday from 12pm–10pmPay: $42.34–$50.81 per hour
Job Summary
We are hiring an Inpatient Unit Resource Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in TRU’s Hospice Inpatient Unit, located on the 4th floor of CommonSpirit Longmont United Hospital.
The Resource Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients and families, coordinating care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. This role supports the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families while promoting comfort, dignity, safety, and quality of life.
Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care in an inpatient hospice setting.
Assess patient and family needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, including Social Work, Chaplain, and Volunteers.
Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and respond appropriately to changing needs.
Provide patient and family education related to medications, procedures, safety, comfort, disease processes, and end-of-life care.
Document care accurately and in accordance with professional, regulatory, and TRU standards.
Respect each patient and family’s individual preferences, cultural and spiritual beliefs, and goals of care.

Qualifications

Prior hospice experience highly preferred.
2+ years of nursing experience.
Current RN license in the state of Colorado required.
CPR certification required or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Must comply with agency health screening and immunization requirements.
